During the 31st EAAP conference ‘Aviation Psychology: facilitating changes’, held 22-26 September 2014 in Valletta (Malta), two presentations about the Man4Gen project were given. In the first presentation an overview of the Man4Gen project was given by explaining the Man4Gen approach and presenting the first high-level results. In the second presentation the Extended Control Model (ECOM) was presented as an analysis tool for crew-automation Joint Cognitive System (JCS) performance. The development and application of ECOM analysis to flight simulator experimental data was outlined, highlighting crew-automation JCS performance at different layers of control.
Presentations and papers will be published mid-November at the EAAP conference site, and subsequently at the download section of the Man4Gen website.
The EAAP conference is organised by the European Association for Aviation Psychology (EAAP) and promotes the study of psychology and the scientific pursuit of applied psychology in the field of aviation. For more information, please have a look at the EAAP website.
