EASA

EASA is the centrepiece of the European Union’s strategy for aviation safety. Its mission is to promote the highest common standards of safety and environmental protection in civil aviation. The Agency develops common safety and environmental rules at the European level.

With the incorporation of Upset Prevention and Recovery Training throughout the aviation industry, EASA required support in bringing about rules and guidance material. IDT served EASA as a core member of the FCL committee under Rule Making Task .0581 & .0582 on UPRT implementation. Furthermore, IDT also provided technical input through co-chairmanship of the Rule Making Task .0196 & .0197 on CS-FSTD (Flight Simulation Training Device standards). These works have been published and incorporated into European Civil Aviation Regulation.
